Who We Are
Vaner is operated by Borgels Olsen Holding ApS, VAT DK39700425. For privacy requests, contact privacy@vaner.ai. For vulnerability reports, use security@vaner.ai.
What We Collect
The current vaner.ai website is a static marketing and download site. It does not provide accounts, payments, forms, comments, advertising, or first-party analytics in the application code.
We may process the following information:
- Basic website request data processed by our hosting, CDN, DNS, and security providers, such as IP address, user agent, referrer, requested URL, timestamps, and error logs.
- Messages you send to us, including privacy, support, security, or business correspondence.
- Public activity you choose to create on third-party services, such as GitHub issues, discussions, pull requests, stars, or release downloads.
- Download and package delivery data handled by third-party distribution services, including GitHub Releases and package infrastructure.
Product Data
Vaner is designed to run close to your workspace. By default, its prepared context, indexes, operational metrics, traces, and other local state are stored on your machine. The public website does not receive your repository contents, prompt text, local indexes, generated notes, or local telemetry merely because you install or run Vaner.
If you configure Vaner to use a hosted model, cloud backend, plugin, AI assistant, or package manager, data may be sent to that provider according to your configuration and that provider's terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for choosing providers and settings that fit your workspace, confidentiality duties, and compliance requirements.
How We Use Information
We use information for these purposes:
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the website.
- Deliver downloads, redirects, documentation, and updates.
- Respond to privacy, support, security, and business messages.
- Protect Vaner, users, repositories, and distribution channels.
- Comply with legal, tax, security, and governance obligations.
Legal Bases
Where EU or similar privacy law applies, our legal bases may include legitimate interests in operating and securing Vaner, performance of a contract or pre-contractual communication, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where a future feature asks for it.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate Vaner, such as hosting, CDN, DNS, email, security, repository, release, package, legal, accounting, and infrastructure providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, or as part of a corporate transaction.
Cookies and Analytics
The current site does not intentionally set advertising, profiling, or first-party analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and add any required consent controls before using those technologies.
Retention
Local Vaner product data remains under your control on your machine unless you choose to export, send, delete, or configure it differently. Website and infrastructure logs are retained for the period needed to operate, secure, debug, and measure the service. Correspondence is retained as long as needed to handle the request, maintain records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. Send requests to privacy@vaner.ai.
Because the current website does not provide accounts, we may need enough context to identify the information involved in your request. We cannot access or delete Vaner data that only exists on your own machine.
California Notice
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly process sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit under California law. If our practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes apply.
Children
Vaner is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.
Changes
We may update this policy as Vaner evolves, including if we add accounts, hosted services, analytics, paid products, or enterprise features. The latest version will be posted at this page with an updated effective date.
